interesting meeting

I love a lot of knit designers. One of them is Kate Davies and when I saw this post on her blog (and read about her interesting project) I couldn’t resist and bought those beautiful badge from her friend on Etsy.

The yarn bowl is wonderful, while knitting the yarn tension is perfect, and when I pull it a little stronger I can listen the ball echoes inside the jar. Isn’t it Wonderful?!
I ask to the craftman to make another yarn bowl, similar but not identical, for a unique gift for a dear friend.

E per restare in tema, circa un mese fa ho incontrato un vero artigiano e parlando gli ho spiegato quanto mi sarebbe piaciuto avere un portagomitolo di ceramica, gli ho fatto uno schizzo e poi gli ho dato carta bianca sulla realizzazione, ho chiesto l’incisione del mio nick name ed una pecorella stilizzata… beh, a distanza di un mese quando l’ho visto finito avrei voluto baciarlo dalla felicità. Il portagomitolo è meraviglioso, il filo rimane teso perfettamente e quando lo tiro un po’ più forte il gomitolo risuona all’interno del vaso. Non è Meraviglioso?!
Ne ho fatto realizzare un altro simile ma non uguale per un regalo unico destinato ad una cara amica.
